Breast cancer survivor shares tips for supporting loved ones with the disease

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah woman, who helped others face life challenges, had to lean on her own support system after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

As a Leadership coach and stage 3 breast cancer survivor, Amy Capello used her experiences to share advice for supporting a loved one diagnosed with breast cancer on Morning Break.

In the interview above, Capello recommends just doing something instead of asking what they need. She says taking something off a patient’s plate, thinking about practical gifts and helping with their kids, if they have them, can make a difference.
