The Role
- Support onboarding new cybersecurity systems and data sources into a centralized cloud-based data platform.
- Collaborate with system owners, analysts, architects, and engineers to define data requirements.
- Configure and maintain data pipelines for collection, routing, parsing, transformation, enrichment, and replay.
- Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines within a Delta Lake environment.
- Create and maintain Python, SQL, and scripting solutions for data automation.
- Map structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into standardized schemas and security data models.
- Troubleshoot ingestion failures, malformed events, schema changes, and other data-flow issues.
- Support integrations with various cybersecurity and analytics platforms like Splunk Cloud, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Tableau.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 1-2 years of experience, or 4 additional years of relevant experience.
- Possess or obtain an active Secret security clearance.
- Foundational experience with data engineering, data integration, ETL/ELT processes, or log-management technologies.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with structured and semi-structured data formats (JSON, CSV, XML, syslog, API data).
- Understanding of databases, data lakes, data pipelines, schemas, metadata, and data lifecycle concepts.
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing and cloud storage services.
- Ability to analyze technical documentation and translate system requirements into data-integration tasks.
