Platinum Credit Control is a new outsourced credit-control business supporting UK companies with the management of their outstanding invoices and debtor accounts.
We are building our service around professional, consistent credit control that improves payment behaviour while protecting our clients' customer relationships.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to work remotely with us as the business grows. This would particularly suit someone who is confident managing debtor accounts independently and enjoys taking ownership of their work.
The role
You will be responsible for managing credit control on behalf of our clients, acting as a professional extension of their businesses.
Responsibilities will include:

- Following up overdue invoices by telephone and email
- Building professional relationships with customers and accounts-payable teams
- Recording and monitoring Promises to Pay
- Identifying payment queries, disputes and administrative issues preventing payment
- Following up broken payment promises promptly
- Maintaining clear, accurate notes and records of all activity
- Escalating disputes, persistent non-payment and other issues appropriately
- Reviewing aged-debtor reports and prioritising accounts requiring action
- Providing clear updates and reporting on activity, collections, disputes and outstanding actions
- Working across accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar where required
About you
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced credit-control professionals who:
- Have strong hands-on B2B credit-control experience
- Are confident managing a debtor ledger independently
- Are comfortable speaking with customers by telephone as well as communicating by email
- Can be firm and persistent while remaining professional and protecting customer relationships
- Have experience dealing with payment queries, disputes and broken Promises to Pay
- Are organised, reliable and meticulous about follow-up and record keeping
- Are comfortable working remotely and managing their own workload
- Have experience using accounting software and aged-debtor reports
Experience within construction, trades, engineering, building services or other B2B environments would be particularly useful, although it is not essential.
